terms of use
last updated october 24, 2026
these terms are an agreement between you and the Glassay team (“we”, “us”) about using Glassay — the website, the app and everything in it. by creating an account or using Glassay, you agree to these terms, our community rules and our privacy policy. if you don’t agree, please don’t use Glassay.
who can use Glassay
- you must be at least 14 years old. if you’re under 17, a parent or guardian has to approve your account, and they can set safety controls.
- one person per account. give true information about your age — we may ask you to confirm it.
- you can’t use Glassay if we’ve suspended you before, or if the law where you live doesn’t allow it.
no tolerance for abuse
there is no tolerance on Glassay for objectionable content or abusive users. that includes harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, nudity or sexual content shared without consent, and anything else the community rules forbid. we may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break the rules, without notice. we review reports, and aim to act on them within 24 hours.
you can report any person, post, reply, message, glint or flicker, and you can block anyone. a blocked person can’t see your posts, message you, send you flickers or add you, and you won’t see theirs.
your account
- keep your password private. you’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- you can download your data or delete your account at any time in settings. deleting removes your profile, posts, replies, glints, flickers and messages you sent.
what you post
- you own what you post. you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, show and share it on Glassay the way your settings allow — for example, to your friends or to everyone. this license ends when you delete it (copies may stay in backups for a short time).
- only post things you have the right to share. don’t post other people’s photos, music or work without permission.
- glints disappear after 24 hours. flickers are meant to be seen once (with one replay) and then deleted — but anyone can take a screenshot or a photo of their screen, so don’t send anything you wouldn’t want kept.
things you can’t do
- break the law, or help someone else break it.
- pretend to be someone else, spam, scam, or sell things people didn’t ask for.
- collect other people’s information, scrape Glassay, or use bots or automated accounts.
- try to break, overload or get around the security of Glassay.
live, music and other services
some features use other companies’ services — for example GIF search, Apple Music or Spotify previews, and video streaming. their own terms apply to what they provide. links to other websites aren’t controlled by us.
purchases
if Glassay offers paid extras (like style packs), prices are shown before you buy. purchases made in the iPhone or Android app follow Apple’s or Google’s refund rules.
changes and ending
we may update Glassay and these terms. if a change is important, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. you can stop using Glassay and delete your account whenever you like. we may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
no warranty, limits
Glassay is provided “as is”. we work hard to keep it running and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free or that content other people post is accurate. to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $50 if you paid nothing). some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
the law that applies
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of Mississippi, USA, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
apple and google
if you got the app from the App Store or Google Play: these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, who aren’t responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. you must also follow the store’s own rules.
